Rex’s Story:

Rex spent the first part of his life growing up in a shelter, so moving into a real home was a big adjustment at first. Inside, he can still be a little shy and easily startled by new things, but his progress has been absolutely incredible!

Since arriving at his foster home, Rex has faced his fears head-on. He has successfully learned to coexist with cats, birds, snakes, hermit crabs, little humans, and big humans. Even intimidating household monsters like vacuums, mops, brooms, and loud indoor noises don't phase him anymore. While they used to scare him, he has rapidly adjusted and realized that nothing matters more than being right next to his favorite humans. He has also blossomed into a true outdoor lover who likes nothing more than getting outside to run, stretch his legs, and play to his heart's content.

A Note on Rex's Big Feelings:

Rex is a total open book with his emotions! Because he wants so badly to be a good boy, he can get so incredibly excited to see you, or a little overwhelmed by big moments, that he sometimes leaks a few happy or nervous drops. It’s just his way of saying, "I love you and I’m trying my best!" as he continues to build his confidence in modern home life.

Because the world can still feel a bit overwhelming to a shelter graduate, Rex will need a family dedicated to providing consistent positive training.
